If you request inspection information, we collect only the contact details necessary to connect you with a licensed provider.

What we collect

• Contact details you submit: name, phone, email, ZIP code, and a short description of what you noticed (via our request form or phone link).
• Technical basics: our static host (Netlify/GitHub Pages) may log standard server data (e.g., IP, user agent) for security and performance. We do not access or combine this with other data.

What we do not collect

• No photos or file uploads.
• No ad tracking pixels or third-party analytics by default.
• No payment information (we don’t sell products on this site).
• No background scraping of your accounts or devices.

How we use your information

• To respond to your request: if you ask for inspection info, we (or an integrated form service) will use your contact details to follow up.
• To connect you with a provider: we share your submitted details with one or more licensed pest control providers so they can contact you about an inspection. This is the primary purpose of collecting your data.
• To improve reliability: limited, aggregate, non-identifying metrics (e.g., page popularity) may be reviewed to improve content. We don't build behavioral profiles.

Lead forms & service partners

Important: When you submit an inspection request, your contact information is shared with licensed pest control providers. This is how we operate—we connect homeowners with professionals. You consent to this sharing when you submit the form. We are not responsible for the services of third-party providers, their pricing, or their outcomes. See our Disclaimer for more detail.

Retention & Data Ownership

• Lead requests: Your data is shared with providers immediately upon submission. We do not retain your personal information on our servers. Once shared with providers, your data is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.
• Our records: We keep minimal records (submission logs) only as long as necessary for administrative/audit purposes, then delete or de-identify them.
• Server logs: Technical server logs are retained by the hosting provider per their standard security policies. These do not include your personal information.

Legal basis (where applicable)

If you are in a region that requires a legal basis (e.g., GDPR), we process contact data with your consent when you submit a request; we may retain minimal records for legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, basic analytics without cookies), and to comply with legal obligations.

We maintain reasonable safeguards appropriate for a static educational site and basic lead handling. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please do not include sensitive information in your submission.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
